In today’s classroom, educational leaders must promote student learning that is dynamic, collaborative, and meets the demands of the 21st century in their schools, districts and counties. Administrators have greater responsibility to encourage their staff and faculty effectively leverage ever increasing technologies, such as Web 2.0 Tools, mobile learning devices and the Internet. This session will expose participants to several Web 2.0 tools that cut across all content areas. In addition, participants will get the chance to experiment with Google Forms.

Youth and Technology: An Intoxicating Mix
Societies are changing.Expectations are changing. Teaching is changing. To be part of the transformation to 21st-century teaching and learning, we need to lead by modeling and promoting digital citizenship and responsibility. In this session, technology leaders will 1) receive ready-made awareness activities, content, and tools to use with educators, 2) review policies and procedures related to safe, legal, and ethical use of digital information and technology, and 3) explore a collection of free Internet Safety content packages that teachers can use to engage students and improve learning.
School and district leaders of 1:1 learning initiatives need data from teachers and students to guide effective decision-making around planning and implementing successful projects. This session will provide opportunities to examine survey and observation data from real 1:1 schools and to discuss with colleagues what decisions should be made based on those results.
